Greenworks is generally a great company, which is why so many professional groups rely on their power washers to make homes look spotless. Unfortunately, no company has a perfect track record. In recent months, Greenworks announced a massive recall of their pressure washer spray guns. Does this affect you?

Over one million pressure washer spray guns are being recalled from the Greenworks pressure washer line. The recall primarily affects Greenworks models that include the 2000 PSI pressure washer spray gun. Buyers who own one should contact the company for a replacement.

If you are currently working with a pressure washer that has a recall posted on it, there are a lot of worries that you may end up getting hurt. It’s time to take a good look at what this recall means.

Why Are Greenworks Pressure Washer Spray Guns Being Recalled?

Greenworks spray guns are being recalled as a result of a defect in the workmanship regarding the spray gun connector. The connector can break, which will result in parts of the hose becoming dislodged. Should this occur, a high risk of impact injury could occur in the user.

In most cases, this risk is not lethal. However, it can cause serious injury. To prevent yourself from getting injured, we strongly encourage you to watch for your model’s number being recalled.

How Serious Is This Recall?

So far, around 15 reports showed that these pressure washers have broken. These reported breaks caused a total of 13 injuries, seven of which required the attention of a doctor.

What Is The Required Remedy For This Recall?

Thankfully, you do not have to throw away your pressure washer or have it sent away for repairs. The remedy for this is to call for a replacement washer line along with a replacement washer connector. Once you have the replacement pieces, you can manually switch them out on your own.

Which Greenworks Pressure Washer Models Are Affected By The Recall?

The recall currently impacts around 1.06 million models released by Greenworks, so there is a decent chance that you may have a washer spray gun that needs to be recalled. Most of the power washer models that are being impacted range from 1500 psi to 1800 psi in power.

Where Can I Find Out My Power Washer’s Model Number?

Your power washer’s model number will be found on the side of your power washer’s machine. In some cases, it may be hard to find. Shining a light on it or trying to run your hand to find the embossed number can help.

If you are still having a hard time with your model number, check the hose connector. Recalled sprayers will have a black plastic connector instead of a metal one.
